J.D. Maynard graduated from the University of Kentucky, Lexington with a Master of Architecture degree from the College of Design in 2005. J.D. began working as an intern architect for Edward Tucker Architects, Inc. prior to graduation during his summer and holiday breaks, and became a full-time employee in 2005. The professional opportunities, varied experiences and atmosphere at Edward Tucker Architects, Inc. were the largest factors is his return to the firm. Working in Huntington has also provided J.D. and his family with the opportunity to actively participate in the growth and development of the community where they grew up.  JD and his wife Emilie live in Ceredo, WV with their son Tre and twin daughters Naomi and Sophia.
